Calculate fuel consumption. Heating cost after changing the heat source.
In English language
How much will the new boiler burn?
Spis treści
Are you planning to change your boiler to another heat source? This page will allow you to calculate costs for another source. The result gives an idea whether it is worth making changes to the home’s heating system or whether the current boiler is actually more expensive to maintain than others? Will the difference in savings allow for a return on investment?
What will be the heating costs?

Conversion of fuel consumption for heating purposes for various heat sources
Calculate approximate costs for other fuel. Enter the amount of fuel to be converted in kg for coal or pellets or m3 for natural gas and kWh for heat pumps, indicate the type of fuel to be converted.
THE RESULT is the amount and cost of fuel for various types of heating systems, taking into account current rates and their efficiency.
How it’s working?
Thermal energy generated from a given amount of fuel is calculated, then, taking into account the efficiency of individual heat sources, the amount of fuel that will produce the same amount of heat is calculated, and after taking into account the prices, the cost is calculated. The COP of the heat pump was assumed to be 3.5.
Using your fuel consumption, you can calculate approximate values, not taking into account the parameters of the house and the heating system.
It is worth taking into account that burning coal and pellets with poor settings increases their consumption, which may mean that switching to another heat source will actually result in lower consumption than expected.
The calculations are estimates.
